Some of my favorite local artists that I am inspired by is Anna Sofie and Johnathon DeSoto. I envision having a bride that has that same visual concept as these two artists. By combining abstract and contemporary styles which creates the latest trend of 2020.
Ceremony and reception décor inspired by art is a major trend. I ask my clients to send pictures of artists that they love. I love pulling inspiration from their galleries, fashion, and art that my they connect with. I use those images to pull color, texture, and concepts for all parts of the wedding weekend. Using art as inspiration is a sure way to ensure that the wedding day is a true reflection of the them, and also totally original and unique.
I’ve been fortunate to be able to have the creative freedom to design some amazing events.
One of my side hustles is storefront window design. Anthropologie windows are one of my biggest inspirations for installations. I recently had the opportunity to create a destination wedding for a creative designer for Anthropologie. Taking Art History while getting certified in Interior Design, I established a love for Waterhouse and John Everett Millais. Currently excited and fortunate to have a fashion designer bride with the same love for Pre-Raphaelite style ( pre Victorian era ) as well as the majestic Redwoods of Humboldt County for her destination wedding.
Above and Beyond Creations isn’t just event coordinating, we are passionate about creating and design by adding the current trends but ensuring timelessness.
